James! This messed with me longer than it should have lol.

The quiz wants you to put: <?php foreach($books as $isbn => $book) instead of using $id

Nathan thank you for responding. I was in the same boat as you. Messed with me too long, as well. :)

Im pretty new to php but I would try putting all the code in one opening/closing php tag and put quotes round each of the html elements ie "<li>"

I'm guessing you need echo out the ISBN and that's not echoed out anywhere in your code. For instance:

foreach($books as $id => $book) {
echo "<li>[" . $id . "] " . $book . "</li>";
}

The isbn would be the $id variable and the book title would be the $book variable.

Maybe something like that? I'm not sure what the final result of the quiz is supposed to be.
