Building apps with JavaScript

Hi guys

I have some experience in Swift, however I want to learn to make apps using JavaScript.

I'm planning on using Cordova. So I want to ask what track I should follow here on teamtreehouse in order to get the knowledge to make apps with JavaScript?

Thanks

I would suggest you take the Full Stack Javascript Course. This would be a good place to start if you havn't already done so but It is only the basics and you would need to practice building your own project in order to get better.

Yes I know that I need to practice on my own! It's just that I think that there are so many different courses here on TeamTreehouse, and it can be hard to choose the right one.

But Thanks Chyno Deluxe. I will start doing the course right away. Do you know anything about Cordova? :)

Unfortunately I do not. =( Sorry.

So what would you recommend? Like PhoneGab?

I'd recommend focusing on the MEAN(MongoDB, Express, Angular, Node) stack. I'm currently making JavaScript my central focus language and I've been slowly getting more and more comfortable with the MEAN stack.

Edit: I just realized, after reading the documentation for Cordova, that you may have been interested in mobile apps. I don't know if my information applies to mobile apps. I never tried.

Hello David. Yes I will make apps for mobiles. So what you think would be the best approach? Just starting with the Full Stack Javascript Course?

Thanks :)

Yeah I would suggest the Full Stack JavaScript Course to give you a basic understanding of some of the concepts you're going to use. You can also look up some design patterns because you're going to more than likely going to be using the Factory Pattern at some point.

Okay thank you :)
