can't pass this question let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9] var sum = 0 var counter = 0 var newValue = numbers[counter]
// Enter your code below while counter <= numbers.count { sum = sum + newValue counter++ }
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
var newValue = numbers[counter]
// Enter your code below
while counter <= numbers.count
{
sum = sum + newValue
counter++
}

65,469 PointsThe newValue variable is only going to be one value for this entire script. But if you put the newValue variable inside of the while loop, it will keep updating its value. Try doing that :)
Here's the new code:
let numbers = [2,8,1,16,4,3,9]
var sum = 0
var counter = 0
// Enter your code below
while counter <= numbers.count
{
var newValue = numbers[counter]
sum = sum + newValue
counter++
}
Good luck, Alex

1,462 PointsThank you for your prompt reply. However, it still doesn't work. :-(

65,469 PointsOh whoops I meant to say this code
You only are allowed to say "var" once for one variable in Swift, and the while loop makes it so the var keyword is used multiple times for that variable :)
