Bummer: Try again!

I don't know what the problem is, I wish the errors that were returned were actually helpful.

racecar.py
class RaceCar:

    def __init__(self,color,fuel_remaining,**kwargs):
        self.color=color
        self.fuel_remaining=fuel_remaining
        self.laps=0
        for key,value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self,key,value)

    def run_lap(self,length,fuel_remaining,laps):
        self.length=length
        self.fuel_remaining=fuel_remaining-(length*.125)

        for l in range(laps):
            self.laps += 1

The error messages are often more useful when there's only one issue, having several confuses the checker. Here's a few hints:

  • you don't need a "self.length" field variable
  • the method should only take one argument (besides "self")
  • all references to "fuel_remaining" need a "self." prefix
  • you won't need a loop, each call to the method will be for 1 lap
