how to extract "Brown"

my question is, the challenge is this. Update the variable of 'wordBrown' on about line 21, to extract the substring of "brown" from the string 'quick'.

my answer is

var wordBrown = quick.substr(15);

but not extract the word "brown"

but does not remove the word

what is the answer?

The 'subtr' method asks for the starting index and the sub-string length you want:

string.substr(start,length)

So for this example to extract 'brown' you would want it to start at index 10 and grab 5 characters:

var wordBrown = quick.substr(10, 5);
