Call function for specific view in the custom list item
How would I make it to where when a certain part of each list item is clicked something happens. For example, if I click the day of the week a toast message just says, "the day is (insert day that was clicked)" but when I click on the temperature label it says, "the temperature is (insert temperature here)"?

You can use setOnClickListener() on the ViewHolder or any views within (or ButterKnife's @OnClick annotation). Just be aware that you should also store the list position in the ViewHolder when it's bound if you want to access the list item directly (as opposed to the Views in the ViewHolder), particularly with a RecyclerView.
