Observe how mine code is different to yours. 1) You're missing a closing bracket for the getYear() function. 2) You don't need to use the 'function' keyword to invoke a function when you call from elsewhere in your program. 3) I would also avoid using the same names for functions and variable in the program, as you've done in your case above.
