JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Returning a Value from a Function

Calling a function

Call the getYear function: store the returned value of the function in a new variable named yearToday.

This is the problem I am currently stuck on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

script.js
function getYear () {
var year = new Date().getFullYear();
return year;
}
function yearToday () {
var yearToday = getYear ();
  return yearToday;
}

They are asking you to store the value of the getYear() function into a variable called yearToday

Something like this...

var someVariable = someFunction();

Hope that helps :thumbsup:

Didn't see Chris' response. But yep

var yearToday = getYear();

Thanks for the help guys!
