Can a 14 year old sell websites

Can a 14 year old make and sell websites in the United States with a parent's permission. If so please explain how it would be done.

Depends on the state I think, I live in Indiana and 14 is the legal age to begin working so I would assume yes. I'd research your states laws on that area. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Zachary Kaufman : There's a big difference between being able to work and being able to enter into a legal contract with someone. The sale of a website is a form of a contract, and across the US the law is the same in that regard: a contract entered into between a minor and another party is invalid, as "a minor is regarded as not having sufficient capacity to understand and pass upon questions involving contractual rights."

Sorry, didn't know, I'm unexperienced :/

I can give you a clear answer on this one: No you cannot sell your website as a minor in the US due to contract law, which states that contracts (aka business agreements like a sale of a website) entered into between a minor and another party are invalid. So you'll have to wait till you're 18 to sell a website. Here's an example of a source: http://law.freeadvice.com/general_practice/contract_law/contract_valid.htm but please feel free to research further.

You can make websites all you want, but selling them is off limits.
