42,016 Pointsto return an optional type you place a ? after the data type.
inside loop inside the function, if a name is found that matches the name passed into the function you return it.
if the loop does not find a matching name, you return nil. the optional value is what allows you to return nil.
func search(#name: String) -> String? {
let names = ["Doc","Grumpy","Happy","Sleepy","Bashful","Sneezy","Dopey"]
for n in names {
if n == name {
return n
}
}
return nil
}
