Can anyone help me with the second part of the py problem?

squaring.py
def square(number):
    return(number * number)
result = number_square("2")
print(result)

The instructions say to "call your new function and pass it the argument 3", and then store the return value in result.

So the issues here are:

  • the function name is "square" but this code is calling "number_square" instead
  • the instructions ask you to pass 3, but this code is passing "2" instead
  • the argument should be a number and not a string (so no quotes)
  • for good form, there should be a blank line between the function code and the rest
  • you don't need to "print" anything
