Can anyone recommend good books on learning JavaScript.

I am getting frustrated. Does anyone else feel like some of the instructors go waay to fast ? And when you slow the videos down the sound is terribly robotic? At this point, I don't think TreeHouse is the way to go and would like some good book recommendations.

Thanks in advance.

Good? How about the best?!

Eloquent Javascript is where it's at.

You'll notice James peeking through that book that there is a ton of JS material to cover, almost impossible for the Treehouse instructors to cover it all. I would suggest supplementing your reading with the projects and courses that are on here. While the reading will be good for you, it won't mean anything without the hands on coding. I like that your environment is ready to go with Workspaces, it was super helpful when I started out.

Thanks Scott ! I will look into that book. This is the first programming language I have decided to learn. I am finding it very hard to grasp loops and functions.

"I have actually come to 'like' JavaScript." - Marjin This actually made me feel better, Marjin understands the frustration of JS and really explains it so well.
