HTML HTML Basics Getting Started with HTML Lists and Links Challenge

I KEEP GETTING THIS MESSAGE (You need to set the 'href' attribute of the first <a> element to 'cakes.html'.). Can anyone tell me what I am doing incorrect for this challenge.

<!DOCTYPE html>
    <title>Lists and Links</title>
     <li><a href="Cakes.html"</a></li>
     <li><a href="Pies.html"</a></li>
     <li><a href="Candy.html"</a></li>

I think the href's they're referring to need to be lowercase. i.e. cakes.html, not Cakes.html.

You are missing the > to close your opening <a> tag in all three list items.

Hello, Jasmine. You are on the right track! Make sure your anchor tags close before the content of within the lists. Check my answer below. If it doesnt make sense, just ask me and ill do my best to help.

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Lists and Links</title> </head> <body> <ul>
<li><a href="cakes.html">Cakes</a></li> <li><a href="pies.html">Pies</a></li> <li><a href="candy.html">Candy</a></li> </ul> </body> </html>

Thank you so much Emil. I was missing Cakes</a></li>. That help me close it. Thanks again you awesome.

You also have to close the opening a tag.
