Python Python Basics Functions and Looping Raise an Exception

Can anyone walk me through the steps of how your supposed to finish this challenge task called "Raise An Exception".

I don't understand how to do the task in total.

suggestinator.py
def suggest(product_idea):
    return product_idea + "inator"

Hi Nathan

You are missing two lines of code here in the middle:

def suggest(product_idea):
    # use an if-statement here to check the length of product_idea
        # raise ValueError with a short message if the length is too short
    return product_idea + "inator"

Hope these hints help!

Thank you I understand the challenge now.

Glad to hear that - thank you for the feedback!
