Can somebody explain why a function does to the argument in Python. I know what it is but don't know when to use it.

Could someone give me a example of what argument does.

An argument is simply a piece of information you send to the function. For example if I have a function that adds two numbers input by the user, then the arguments would be the two numbers sent to that function by the user.
