Can someone please tell me what is going wrong with the view.backgroundColor = blueColor?

Can someone please tell me what is going wrong with the view.backgroundColor = blueColor? Here is my code:

colors.swift
class ViewController: UIViewController {

    let blueColor = UIColor(red: 0, green: 0, blue: 255, alpha: 1.0)
    view.backgroundColor = blueColor

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.
    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {
        // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated
    }
}

Hello:

There is nothing wrong with that, the only thing that you have to change is this :

class ViewController: UIViewController {

    let blueColor = UIColor(red: 0, green: 0, blue: 255, alpha: 1.0)

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.

       // Add it to this method.
       view.backgroundColor = blueColor
    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {
        // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated
    }
}

The view.backgroundColor = blueColor has to be placed in the viewDidLoad() method, so that when the view loads, it changes the background color to your desired color. This method is called by the system when it loads the applications views.

Good luck

Thank you so much! I now realise the logic is this :)
