# EXAMPLE
# random_item("Treehouse")
# The randomly selected number is 4.
# The return value would be "h"
import random
def random_item(argument):
argument = []
second_n = len(argument)-1
x = random.randint(0,second_n)
return(argument[x])

65,469 PointsYou did a great job over here! However, you confused Python by creating a list called argument inside of a function with a parameter of argument. Python always looks for variables first, so second_n is going to be -1 (because the length of argument is 0). Try getting rid of the argument creation inside of the function. :)
Good luck! ~Alex
