Cannot adjust the fuel_remaining attribute.

I cannot move past this section because the error response is not telling me what I am doing wrong. I think I am not using the right syntax to reduce the fuel_remaining and increase the laps counter. Any tips?

racecar.py
class RaceCar:
    def __init__(self, color, fuel_remaining, **kwargs):
        self.color = color
        self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining
        for key, value in kwargs.items():
            setattr(self, key, value)
    laps = 0

    def run_lap(self, length):
        return self.fuel_remaining- (length * 0.125)
        laps += 1
        print(laps)

class RaceCar: def init(self, color, fuel_remaining, laps=0, **kwargs): self.color = color self.fuel_remaining = fuel_remaining self.laps = laps

    for key, value in kwargs.items():
        setattr(self, key, value)

def run_lap(self, length):
    self.laps += 1
    self.fuel_remaining -= length * 0.125

As I have observed, you are not using the self keyword with laps. And you don't need to return the fuel_remaining. I hope my code helps you to understand and fix the problem you have.
