Treehouse TeacherSorry you're having trouble! I'm not sure what the problem might be, though we just had a major redesign and it may have just been a hiccup in our site. I was able to successfully download both Windows bundles a short while ago.
As an alternative, check out this other post about switching to the bundle provided on the Android Developer site: https://teamtreehouse.com/forum/android-lesson-cant-run-initialsetupbat#show-comment-5974
It's virtually the same as our bundle but it wasn't available when we first created the course.

73 PointsI tried to download the Android dev pack from the Android page the above link goes to, but it didn't work again. Still getting the same error msg: C:\Users\Pauline\Downloads\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20131030.zip.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later or contact the server admin. :(

3,175 PointsHi Pauline, do you have JRE or JDK installed on your machine? I also got error (I don't remember what kind of) when I tried to install ADT before installing JRE/JDk. So I think you have to first install the JRE.

73 PointsI downloaded Chrome and was able to download the Treehouse Android dev pack. Now when trying to unzip and save the package, I'm getting errors such as "Do you want to copy this folder without encryption?" (I have to say yes or skip, I say yes), and, "the system cannot find the path specified."
I forgot about the encryption question when downloading, when I try yet again, I will see if I can select skip.
For the path problem, I just don't know where to save this file. I created a folder right off documents. It didn't like it. This seems to be the best place for it because it says if you move the files you will have to rerun the initialization. I read in a different post for a different file that you can only use lowercase and numbers in your file name. I'm going to try that this time.
If someone could let me know if this will not work, then how I should do this, that would be great. Since this takes so long, I want to get this going before I go to work.
Thanks!
Pauline

73 PointsAfrin - what is JRE? Is that Java? I do have Java on my computer.

73 PointsOK, so it looks like the files are in the folder I want them to be. I noticed this when I went in to rename my folder from "Android" to "android". I tried initializing again, but got this same message:

Again, I have Windows Vista so this is a 32bit which is the file I downloaded.
Ugh. So many problems, I don't know what to try first.
Hoping to receive a response by the time I get home!
Thanks!

Treehouse TeacherPauline, I'm sorry this has been such a pain for you! It sounds like you've taken a step forward but two steps back. :(
Real quick, the JRE is the "Java Runtime Environment". You usually need to install this yourself manually, but it's bundled up in our package.
The "SWT folder" issue has plagued this bundle for a while. I have never been able to recreate it, so I haven't uncovered a fix. The best solution is to usually switch to the Android developer bundle, which has newer tools in it. You had a problem downloading it before, but have you tried since switching to Chrome and successfully downloading the Treehouse bundle?
