Full Stack JavaScript Techdegree Student 32,135 Pointscannot insert tilde character
Hi guys,
I had to abort an exercise on Git basics, because I wasn't able to type the tilde character.
All I needed to do was to type: git checkout HEAD~1
The alt + N combination didn't gave the tilde character, nor any other combination for that matter.
Because I couldn't past in code in the input line, I was stuck :(
very frustrating to say the least,
Anthony

6,085 PointsI have the same problem with my Swiss-German keyboard layout. The ~symbol is usually at ALT + N but it did not work in the Teamtreehouse-Console.
My fix was: Change to US keyboard layout.
