Cannot open the laravel.dev:8000 when I restart the computer

Basically, I followed the tutorial and all works fine for me. But after I restart the computer and type in larval.dev:8000, it says the connection errors. Is it because that I didn't turn on the local host, just like MAMP does? Should I turn on the vagrant every time I want to see it in my browser?

Yes, do turn the server on every time you turn on/restart your computer in order to use Laravel. That's the usual practice also with XAMPP server and http://localhost:48080/ (two servers that I'm using).

Thank you so much for your help! But after I turn on the server, it still doesn't work. It says that the browser cannot connect to the server

By the way, I try to type "vagrant up" in the terminal, it says "An error occurred while downloading the remote file. The error message, if any, is reproduced below. Please fix this error and try again.

I'm afraid I wont be able to help you. You are a MAMP user on MAC (I guess), I'm an XAMPP user on Windows. You use Laravel, I use Codeigniter (as much as I do).

I've only answered in the first place because Treehouse has sent me an e-mail that you have sort of asked me to answer. People's points can sometimes be misleading :)

If nobody answers you at Treehouse, I suggest to post you queation at http://stackoverflow.com/. If you describe you problem very accurately I bet someone will help you.
