I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong here.

Your code looks fine. There have been a couple of instances today where the compiler is playing up a little. One solution someone found to work was to enter a deliberately incorrect solution; let the submission fail, then correct it to the right solution and try again. For some reason this was working earlier.
