can't figure out what im doing wrong

let name = "Ben." let greeting = "(Hi there), (name)"

I don't really understand what i'm doing wrong here. Firstly, i thought we had to declare a greeting and then piece it together.

strings.swift
// Enter your code below
let name = "Ben."
let greeting = "\(Hi there), \(name)"

Almost. There should not be a period in your name. It needs to be in greeting: And when you interpolate a variable into a String you don't interpolate other parts of the String:

let name = "Ben"
let greeting = "Hi there, \(name)." //"Hi there, " isn't a variable, so don't interpolate it.
