It says: "Finally, finish off the code to correctly access the properties on the contact with the this keyword."

Courses Plus Student 5,859 PointsSo now you have firstName and lastName outside of the fullName function, so when referenced them with just their name the function will not be able to find them because they are not inside there anymore. By using the keyword this
you can access other properties on the object you are currently inside which happens to be the contact object.
So...
contact.firstName //used to access firstName outside of contact object
this.firstName //used to access firstName inside of contact object
