Cant figure out which element(s) to trigger

You can simply do like this

let section = document.getElementsByTagName('section')[0];

section.addEventListener('click', (e) => {
 var targetInput =  e.target.tagName 
 if(targetInput === 'INPUT'){
  e.target.style.backgroundColor = 'rgb(255, 255, 0)';
 }
});
