Can't find prerequisites

Often times when I start a track, the intro video mentions prerequisites, but when I scroll down none are listed. Currently I'm trying to find the prerequisites for "Build a JavaFX Application" nothing is listed.

Hey Alex,

First... the way Treehouse has this set up is that if you have completed the pre-reqs, they will not show up on the screen, so I'm not able to see what the pre-reqs are for this course specifically (as I've completed all the Java courses). The pre-reqs are usually listed on the home page of the course, so they should be listed here for the JavaFX course.

Second, the JavaFX course is classified as an Intermediate Java course. Here on Treehouse, Intermediate courses do expect a very strong working knowledge of a language, so even though I can't see the specific prerequisites, I can be fairly sure that they include most if not all of the Beginner Java Courses.

If you are new to Programming, then this course might be really tough to follow and grasp. Here on Treehouse, the best way to approach a language to learn is to follow one of the Tracks set up by Treehouse. Tracks take you through a logical progression and teach in a systematic way so that each course will build on the previous course. This way of learning is best as you don't end up taking a course that you're technically not quite ready for yet.

The JavaFX course is the last course in the Learn Java Track, so I would give the Track a go, as the 8 courses leading up to the JavaFX course are probably the pre-reqs he's talking about.

Keep Coding! :) :dizzy:
