can't find the problem :(

?

hash.rb
grocery_item = { "item" => "Bread", "quantity" => 1, "brand" => "Treehouse Bread Company" }
if  grocery_item.has_value? ("Bread")
  grocery_item = { "food"=> true }
end

If there is no value called "Bread", the hash will be this:

{ "item" => "Bread", "quantity" => 1, "brand" => "Treehouse Bread Company" }

However, since you re-assigned the hash to a completely different value, the hash would be this if there was the value "Bread":

{ "food" => true }

While the code challenge is expecting you to add that key-value pair to the end of the hash, you were re-assigning the hash to something completely different.

Try replacing the code inside the if block with this:

grocery_item["food"] = true

Good luck! ~alex
