Can't Finish .toUpperCase Challenge

Trying to finish the challenge where I add # and var lastName to the var userName using the string method. Also need to make the lastName uppercase, using the .toUpperCase method. Seems as though I'm doing something wrong. Code is as follows:

JavaScript var id = "23188xtr"; var lastName = "Smith"; var userName = id.toUpperCase(); userName += "#lastName.toUpperCase()";

app.js
var id = "23188xtr";
var lastName = "Smith";
var userName = id.toUpperCase();
userName += "#lastName.toUpperCase()";
index.html

You'll need to concatenate the pound sign to the result of lastName.toUpperCase(). Right now the whole thing is in the same set of quotes so it's treating it as a literal.

userName += "#" + lastName.toUpperCase();

I think that was just about the only version that I DIDN'T try (I had kept doing "" around the lastName.toUpperCase() as well, not realizing it's only needed for the #. Thank you for the help!
