can't get function value to work?

Challenge is asking to assign a variable to the function but no method is working??

output.php
<?php
include ("flavor.php");
echo "Hal's favorite flavor of ice cream is ____.";
function get_flavor(); {
return $flavor;
}
?>

Have you tried:

$flavor = get_flavor();

You're not really following the directions. Call the function and assign the result to a variable. Your code sorta looks like you're trying to create a get_flavor function. It already exists.
