Can't import ActivityMainBinding: Error "Cannot resolve symbol ActivityMainBinding"

I was getting the error "Can't resolve symbol ActivityMainBinding" after enabling dataBinding in build.gradle.

After much trial and error, I figured out the solution was to exit / restart Android Studio.

ĀÆ_(惄)_/ĀÆ

Works fine now.

If anyone else is having this problem, hope this saves you some time!

I had this problem to... but then i found out i did not sync the 'build.gradle' file (where you added 'databinding enabled = true' ). If this is not synced it wil not be able to resolve ActivityMainBinding
