Can't see changes to top bar or background color? Check to make sure you added a semi-colon after the color indicator!

Ex: background-color: white;

If you forget to add the semi-colon, it cancels out the entire section of code.

but in my "well.css" i wrote body { background-color: orange; }

but still no change.. why's that?
