PHP PHP Arrays and Control Structures PHP Conditionals Switch Statements

Cant seem to get what I am doing wrong here

It tells me it does not see the right default information

switch.php
<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
    $role = 'subscriber';
}

//change to switch statement
switch ($role != 'admin') {
  case 'admin':
    echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";
    break;
  default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
}

Hi Jonas, It's already looking good. But you don't write

switch ($role != 'admin')

you check with a switch statement in retrospect if admin is set or not

switch ($role)

Otherwise you should add break to the default .

Keep it up! -Phil

<?php
//Available roles: admin, editor, author, subscriber
if (!isset($role)) {
    $role = 'subscriber';
}

switch ($role) {
    case 'admin':
    echo "As an admin, you can add, edit, or delete any post.";
    break;
  default:
    echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
    break;
}

?>

Thanks alot man. Made my day :)
