Categories and tags

I have added several categories and tags as per the tutorial but cannot see them in site view.

Judging from your menu drawer, it shows that you haven't created any categories. Check your "Categories menu" to make sure.

Hello,

I believe that you cannot see your tags or categories because you have not added a tag cloud widget or a categories widget which can both be found at Appearance > Widgets. Also you cannot see tags or categories because you have not got a post or any other content on your blog.

You can still see the categories made regardless of making a post or not.

Thanks for all the answers. Both Sterling and Liam were correct. I had created the catagories and tabs but left it empty without content. I have now added content and created the required widget cloud. I also switched to the Decode theme.

On the front end under the hamburger icon I can see the catagory I named "food types". I can also see the tag I called "food items". However despite the fact that I added content to both, I do not see the content. I only see the "names" of catagory and tags.

It looks like the video tutorial left large gaps to confuse students who want to experiment with the material. Here is what I have got right now.
