Challenge Task 1 of 1 is,
Using jQuery only, add to all links with the class "external", then target attribute with the value of "_blank".
my answer is :
$("external").attr("target", "_blank");
but it says my answer is wrong:
Bummer! I was expecting target
to be _blank
not ``
what did I do wrong can someone please explain ?

5,199 PointsAs simple as this was...it took me a while to get it right too.
It's a class selector, it just needs the period in front of the class name.
$(".external").attr("target","_blank");
