Challenge help please, I'm starting to get lost

Question

I know my solution isn't right but I can't work this seemingly easy challenge out.

var inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName').value;
a.textContent = input.value;

inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName').value;

//you cannot select the a tag like this you'll need to select it by his id
document.getElementById('link').innerHTML = inputValue

As Romain said you would need to select the element, you cannot just call an anchor tag like that, JS does not understand.

const a = document.getElementById('link')
a.innerHTML = inputValue;

his would correct the issue.
