Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 14,698 PointsChallenge: Setting the text content
Here is my code for the challenge. I'm stumped as to why it's not passing:
let inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName').value; a.textContent = inputValue;
let inputValue = document.getElementById('linkName').value;
a.textContent = inputValue;
<!DOCTYPE html>

<link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" />
<body>
<div id="content">
<label>Link Name:</label>
<input type="text" id="linkName">
<a id="link" href="https://teamtreehouse.com"></a>
</div>
<script src="app.js"></script>
</body>

Your code is mostly correct, but you are missing something. For your anchor you need to select the anchor element mostly the same way your first line of code selects the inputValue. Finally use the variable name you just created for the anchor to set the textContent to the inputValue.
I hope that makes sense.

23,118 PointsYou're very close on this one. You have the first set of the challenge correct. what you need to do is create a second variable lets call it link then set the textContent to inputValue. Instead of a use a variable.
