Databases Reporting with SQL Working with Text Concatenating Text

Challenge task

I got asked to concatenate the first name last name and emails from the patrons table, the system keeps telling me that the query didn't bring the emails back in the right format. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Can you post your SQL? Did you enclose the email in angle brackets?

Yes I did, my code looked like this SELECT first_name || " " || last_name || " " || "<email>" AS "to_field" FROM patrons

This is the question; In the library database there's a patrons table listing all the users of the library. The columns are id, first_name, last_name, address, email, library_id and zip_code.

Generate a list of strings that are in the following format: Andrew Chalkley andrew@teamtreehouse.com. Concatenate the first name, last name and email address for all users.

Alias it to to_field. This will be used in the "To" field in email marketing.

The angle brackets need to be concatenated as well. "<email>" will be retrieved literally as "<email>"

SELECT first_name || " " || last_name || " <" || email || ">" AS to_field FROM patrons

Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
