Front End Web Development Techdegree Student 31 PointsChange 3D model with Hide and Show in the browser.
I wanted to know if it was best practice to have a 3D model with potentially 100s of "parts" to it, and hide and show these parts as the user wanted.
So for example a car company had a build a car feature for their site. In the rendered 3D model the base of the car was visible and all the other "parts" are hidden such as variants of tire, tinted windows and so on, when one part is chosen say Tinted windows over regular windows the regular windows are changed to hidden and the tinted window are shown.
Would this slow down the browser, have so many parts to a model hidden, or is that the only way to do it, would Webgl be the best option.
Thanks
