Treehouse TeacherIn short? Because of the @android:color part. This is to denote a color as defined by android. Hexadecimal colors are used everywhere. Here's a list of the colors defined by android https://developer.android.com/reference/android/graphics/Color.html
And here's the correct line:
android:background="#fff092b0"
