changing directories in console

The workspace allows us to create sub directories and move files into them. I'm on the second course of the python track and can't seem to cd down the dir I created in the console and started new file in. How is that done?

In the console, ls will list the directory contents and cd will change directories. The directory you created my not be a direct descendent of the current directory. Use ls to see what is in the local dir.

Other commands:

  • "$ cd .." moves to parent dir
  • "$ cd /" moves to topmost dir
  • "$ cd ../.." moves up two parent levels
