I think the code was originally something like this:

<?php
$studentOneName = 'Dave';
$studentOneGPA = 3.8;

$studentTwoName = 'Treasure';
$studentTwoGPA = 4.0;

//Place your code below this comment
?>

and then it was to check the student's GPA, if it were 4.0 to say they made the Honor Roll and anything below was just to print out their GPA.

<?php
$studentOneName = 'Dave';
$studentOneGPA = 3.8;

$studentTwoName = 'Treasure';
$studentTwoGPA = 4.0;

//Place your code below this comment
if ($studentOneGPA == 4.0) { // check to see if student's 1 GPA is equal to 4.0, if not, go to else
   echo "$studentOneName made the Honor Roll"; // use double quotes to echo so it prints the value of the string
} else {  // student's 1 GPA is not 4.0
   echo "$studentOneName has a GPA of $studentOneGPA"; // use double quotes to echo so it prints the value of the string
} // end of if/else statement

if ($studentTwoGPA == 4.0) { // check to see if student's 2 GPA is equal to 4.0, if not, go to else
   echo "$studentTwoName made the Honor Roll"; // use double quotes to echo so it prints the value of the string
} else {  // student's 2 GPA is not 4.0
   echo "$studentTwoName has a GPA of $studentTwoGPA"; // use double quotes to echo so it prints the value of the string
} // end of if/else statement
?>
