Tough nut to crack!

<div class="status">
    <% if %>
    <span class="message">You are signed in.</span>
    <% else %>
    <span class="message">You are NOT signed in.</span>
    <% end %>
</div>

Use erb 'if' and 'else' statements to display only the first span if you are signed in, and the second span if you are not. Clue anyone?

The idea is you want to show a different span based on whether the user is signed in or not. <% if user_signed_in? %>

code here....

<% else %>

other code here...

Great, got it. Thanks Joseph. I missed out the "user_signed_in?"

<div class="status"> <% if user_signed_in? %>
<span class="message">You are signed in.</span> <% else %>
<span class="message">You are NOT signed in.</span> <% end %> </div>
