Code Challenge: Dynamic Typing

Could not get challenge 1 to pass. I was under the assumption that if no value was declared, xcode would automatically assign a value of nil so I entered the following: id *thing; I also tried to explicitly assign thing to nil, but this too did not work: id *thing = nil;

With id the asterisk is implied. So you should declare id thing;

I came back to answer my own question after I re-reviewed the video, but alas you beat me to it!
