JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Creating Reusable Code with Functions Returning a Value from a Function

Code challenge error

In the first task it basically tells me to create a function which I do and it passes as long as I don't add any code to the function. Afterwards it tells me to add code to it and when I want it to check my work it says task 1 is no longer correct.

Hi Ira!

The Code Challenge sometimes behaves weirdly when it doesn't get the input that it is expecting. There's nothing wrong with Task 1, you just forgot to capitalize year in getFullYear():

var year = new Date().getFullyear();

should be:

var year = new Date().getFullYear();

Hope that helps!

Thanks it does
