4,418 PointsCode Challenge: Transitions - WebKit Only (CSS Foundations)
Hey team,
I'm scratching my head over this code challenge:
Question:
Using the prefix for WebKit-based browsers, create a transition for the border-radius property of '.box'. Give the transition a duration of 2 seconds, a delay of 1 second, and a timing function that maintains a linear motion
My code:
transition-duration: 2s;
transition-delay: 1s;
transition-timing-function: linear;
I have tried that code in both .box and .box:hover (just in case) but it doesn't clear the challenge. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Courses Plus Student 2,495 PointsYou need to specify to which property the transition will be applied, in this case they ask you to apply transition for property border-radius in .box.
.box {
border-radius: 15px;
background: #4682B4;
-webkit-transition: property here;
-webkit-transition-duration: 2s;
-webkit-transition-timing-function: linear;
-webkit-transition-delay: 1s;
}

I hope that helps!

4,418 PointsHi Ibrahim,
Thanks for the quick reply, it made me realise I hadn't declared which property I wanted the transition effect to be applied to. The following code worked:
.box { border-radius: 15px; background: #4682B4; -webkit-transition: border-radius; -webkit-transition-duration: 2s; -webkit-transition-timing-function: linear; -webkit-transition-delay: 1s; }
I can now reattach the hair I'd pulled out of my scalp :)

Courses Plus Student 2,495 PointsExactly, you always need to declare the property, in this case was border-radius.
I'm glad it helped. Have a great day!

4,094 PointsThis challenge is made more odious by the fact that the '-webkit' prefix does not preview correctly using the challenge Preview. At least not on Mac FF 26... It does work if the prefix is omitted though! Maybe that should be mentioned in the challenge instructions.
