iOS Build a Simple iPhone App with Swift 2.0 Getting Started with iOS Development Swift Recap Part 1

Code working in Playground but not in code challenge editor

When running the code shown below in playground it works correctly struct Tag { let name: String } let abc = Tag(name: "Swift") struct Post { var title: String var author: String var tag: Tag

func description() -> String {
    return "\(title) by \(author).Filed under \(abc.name)"
}

}

let firstPost = Post(title:"iOS Development", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))

let postDescription = firstPost.description()

but in treehouse editor it says Make sure the implementation of description matches the directions. Hint: Use String Interpolation.

structs.swift
struct Tag {
    let name: String
}
let abc = Tag(name: "Swift")
struct Post {
    var title: String
    var author: String
    var tag: Tag

    func description() -> String {
        return "\(title) by \(author).Filed under \(abc.name)"
        // return title + " by " + author + ".Filed under " + abc.name
    }
}

let firstPost = Post(title:"iOS Development", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "Swift"))

let postDescription = firstPost.description()

Might just be the space missed after the period before "Filed"? Try ". Filed"....not ".Filed"

Thanks a lot for replying. I tried ". Filed" but still the same error as before. Dunno what's missing.

oh I see, I think it's also the way you're printing the tag value. Instead of "abc.name" try "tag.name". abc is acting almost as a global variable. You'll want to only use the Post's variables, especially for a description method. Hope that helps!
