Comment and critique

Hello Everybody, I wanted to get some critiquing on something I have created. I had just finished the Arrays, Loops, and Objects course and thought I would try and make my own project!

Now before I continue I wanted to state, this is not an original idea. This is based off a website that I wanted to see if I could create a version. Here's their website: http://theyfightcrime.net/

Ok, so now that I got that out of the way I wanted to make something similar so here is a snapshot of what I made in

https://w.trhou.se/38c0oth24p

As well as a codepen version.

Thank you in advanced!

That's a cute idea.

Kind of an automatic version of "MadLibs". And you seem to have done a good job emulating the functionality of the original site. :+1:

But I have to say much of the "fun" of the the original is in the visual impact. You might try using larger font sizes and find something similar to the Bahiana font they are using. And place it over a simple but bold background graphic.

Hello Steven,

Thank you for the critique. To be honest, I did kind of neglect the look because I felt uneasy about the coding half. But now that you mention it I should really shine it up :). I don' think it's a big portfolio item but I would like to make it more refined and polished. Something to match the inherit zaniness of the concept.

I'll have to post the updated version. Thanks again!

If you wanted to further distinguish your version from the model, you could also give it a basic theme other than imaginary crime fighters. Perhaps a description of characters in an imaginary comedy movie, or the ingredients for some new sandwiches at an imaginary deli? I'm sure there are plenty of ideas for short "MadLibs" that you could pick from.
