I'm experimenting with jQuery and found that instead of using show() & hide() method the fadeIn() & fadeOut() gives a smoother experience.
Just a thought, some of you might like it.

28,888 PointsThat's very true Bappy, you can also pass a millisecond count as a parameter into the method. There are also strings you can use too ... like 'fast' and 'slow' to adjust the fade time.
