compiler error:

I'm getting a compile error on part 2 of the code challenge. I'm supposed to be creating and stating and intent but I keep getting this error: ./CustomListActivity.java:28: error: cannot find symbol startActivities(intent); ^ symbol: method startActivities(Intent) location: class CustomListActivity 1 error

How do I fix this or is there a bug in the compiler?

import android.os.Bundle; import android.widget.ArrayAdapter; import android.view.View; import android.view.ListView; import android.content.Intent; import android.net.Uri;

public class CustomListActivity extends ListActivity {

protected String[] mUrls = { "http://www.teamtreehouse.com", "http://developer.android.com", "http://www.github.com" };

@Override
public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) {
    super.onCreate(savedInstanceState);
    setContentView(R.layout.activity_custom_list);

    ArrayAdapter<String> adapter = new ArrayAdapter<String>(this, android.R.layout.simple_list_item_1, mUrls);
    setListAdapter(adapter);
}

@Override
protected void onListItemClick(ListView l, View v, int position, long id) {
    // Add code here!
  super.onListItemClick(l, v, position, id);
   Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW);
  intent.setData(Uri.parse(mUrls[position]));
  startActivities(intent);

}

}

In this case you should use the startActivity() method instead of startActivities(). For more information on startActivities() method you can visit Android documentation, but this method isn't used that often.

I changed startActivities() to startActivity() and it worked like a charm. Thanks for your help!
