Var answer = prompt('What programming language is the name of a gem?');

if( answer === 'Ruby'.toUpperCase()) { document.write("<p>That is right!</p>"); } else { document.write("<p>Sorry, that's wrong</p>"); }

Please need help if this conditional statement is correct?

Hi Ephraim,

The 'toUpperCase' or 'toLowerCase' needs to be done on the answer, not the comparitor. Try this:

var answer = prompt('What programming language is the name of a gem?');

if (answer.toLowerCase() === 'ruby') {
  document.write("<p>That is right!</p>");
} else {
  document.write("<p>Sorry, that's wrong</p>");
}

or if you prefer:
